Here We Go Again … National Motto, Pledge of Allegiance Unconstitutional?
by: Gina Diorio | November 20

A bit over a year ago, I wrote about the distortion of American history at the new Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) in Washington, DC.
Well, there is an update.
Here is the latest on the attempt by one group to erase our national motto – “In God We Trust” – and our Pledge of Allegiance from the CVC and the effort of another group, joined by 50 Members of the House and Senate, to make sure that doesn’t happen.
ACLJ & Members of Congress Defend National Motto & Pledge at Capitol Visitor Center
(and for a bit more on this)
Will U.S. motto stand or fall?

Psalm 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
I don’t know what athiests, and agnostics want as our motto, but “In Darwin We Trust” or “In Christopher Hitchens And Richard Dawkins We Trust” or “In Nothing We Trust” just doesn’t sound right.
“In Obama We Trust” sounds down right blasphemous!

I will not pretend to speak for any atheist other than myself. I can tell you that although I don’t think “In God We Trust” should be on the American currency – heck, I don’t even believe the US government should be issuing currency or coins in the first place – but given that such currency and coins exist, that motto does not make me lose any sleep.
If I were going to replace it, I would replace it with “With Reason We Prosper.” But again, this is a distraction.
As the Democrats are intent on destroying America, this is no time to debate what mottos are on the currency and coins. This is the time to urgently explain to anyone who will listen that socialism makes it illegal for you to care for yourself and your loved ones, while making it mandatory for you to care for anyone and everyone who you do not know and is not important to you. In the context of the health care debate, you are required to provide mammograms to every woman in America (if not the world) via the taxes taken from you, but you are not allowed to provide a mammogram for your wife, mother and daughter – who must go begging the state for permission before they can get one.
Socialism is a vicious theory that forbids personal responsibility while mandating collective responsibility. That moral inversion is why socialism is a disaster in practice, everywhere it is tried. That is what we must be telling people right now – not what motto we want on our currency and coins.
