Mystery Monday Interview!

by: Michael Illions | March 23

Our blogging friends over at Save Jersey have been touting an exclusive interview for a few weeks now with a ‘mystery’ political guest, which debuted today.

And we were not disappointed. The interview is with Rocco Riccio, and in case you aren’t familiar with that name, Matt Rooney from Save Jersey explains:

Rocco is well-known for his role at the center of the political and personal relationship between Governor Jon Corzine and his sister-in-law Carla Katz. Rocco’s own friendship with the governor ended famously with a $362,500 confidential settlement. Unfortunately, the parameters of that agreement limited Rocco’s ability to discuss certain issues.

Nevertheless, we did talk extensively about his personal background, his interactions in state politics, and much of the institutional corruption he has observed during his career in state politics and government. Some of his answers and biographical information just might surprise you.

The interview is in 4 parts with parts 1 & 2 being available now. Give them a look see and learn all about the Jon Corzine, Carla Katz relationship and how the Governor gave Riccio a little “payola.”

Part 1 is Here and Part 2 is Here.

I used to enjoy frequenting this site. No longer! It’s becoming lite on news and analysis but heavy on shrill anti-Christie silliness. I found the Riccio interview very informative. And what happened to your Coulter interview we were promised? At least savejersey.com produces!

Very disappointing, but this site is no longer on my favorite’s list.

    Just quit now, Mike.

I’m trying to remember what attracted me to this site in the first place. If you looked beyond the too frequent hostile banter aimed at everything left of center you used to find quality debates defining conservative concerns and agendas. Nowadays it’s dominated by two extreme radicals, one that believes anything short of nuclear annihilation is treason and another that thinks greed and selfishness will save us!

But I suppose this is what is bound to happen when you provide a free forum without moderation. I’m surprised more readers haven’t chimed in to distance themselves from these weirdoes. The “Conservatives with Attitude” has become the “Conservatives with Fanatical Ideas”

    Ed Mazlish Says:

Mellish believes that the greed of politicians aiming guns at us is more benign than the greed of a businessman who aims products and services at us and requires our voluntary participation in order to succeed. He asks for quality debate but has yet to offer any justification as to why the greed of the politician is more benign than the profit motive of the businessman.

Why do you need a gun in order to convince people to work with you? The businessman needs no gun - only a superior product or service that people voluntarily purchase. Why don’t you explain why a competition in guns leads to a more tranquil society than a competition in goods?
