AFP Releases Taxpayer Scorecard For NJ Legislators
Americans for Prosperity has released its taxpayer scorecard of New Jersey legislators. Can you guess which Republicans scored badly? I’ll give you a hint on one: his name rhymes with ‘phony.’
Americans for Prosperity’s 2008-09 Scorecard rates the performance of New Jersey’s 120 legislators on votes critical to taxpayers. The Scorecard focuses on 49 bills introduced during the two year assembly session that effect taxes and businesses in the most over taxed state in America.
It is our contention that the bills scored will either lead to higher taxes, increased government regulations, or add to the state’s mountain of debt. These bills are destructive to the prosperity of businesses of all sizes within the state, and will result in more hard earned money taken by government from the people of New Jersey. Fundamentally, each “Yes” vote for these bills were for a bigger, more intrusive government.

There are three bills that will drive New Jersey property taxes even higher. These votes will be added to the scorecard. Was Webber rated before or after he became a RINO?

December 22nd, 2009 at 7:44 pmSee, I told you he was bi-polar.
December 22nd, 2009 at 8:05 pmDid you see the bottom of the barrel for Republican Senators? Diane Allen, Tom Kean, Sean Kean and our very own Arlen Specter “Union” Bill Baroni.
December 22nd, 2009 at 8:10 pmKind of casts doubt on the Tom Kean assertion that he is a Fiscal Conservative, Social Moderate, doesn’t it?
December 22nd, 2009 at 8:11 pmI can’t wait to see what happens when the “Powerbrokers” want Webber to vote “their” way. Should be fun to see the flip/flopping.

Just what about the scorecard itself do you take issue with?

I don’t need a “scorecard” to tell me Mike Doherty is a reactionary any more than you need a “scorecard” to tell you that Obama is a communist.
December 22nd, 2009 at 11:22 pmHow much more evidence do the Conservatives reading this blog need before they understand that while the RINOs will work with Leftists, they will not work with Conservatives?
They will use your vote to obtain power. But for the RINJOs, it is all about power. They want the guns the liberals have right now, and they want the patronage jobs too. They do not share your desire to roll back the government – they seek only to replace the liberals as the ones who benefit from government expansion.
The real enemy is in our own house.
